The Seal Community Takeover (CTO) and its governing council, Seal Team 6 (“we,” “our,” or “us”), value your privacy. This policy outlines how we handle data for the SEAL CTO on the XRP Ledger (XRPL). As a community-led project, we prioritize transparency and the decentralized nature of the blockchain.
By using sealcto.com (the “Site”), you consent to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
(a) Information You Provide Directly
We collect personal information you voluntarily submit, especially during community-specific events:
• XRPL Wallet Address: Required for NFT “V2” reminting, 1-for-1 swaps, and community verification.
• Email Address: Collected if you sign up for community updates or contact us directly.
• Transaction Data: Details related to the $SEAL token, NFT Marketplace, and any other transactions done thru our Site and services.
• Shipping Information: Collected only if you purchase items from our community merchandise shop.
(b) Information Collected Automatically
To maintain the Site on our Hostinger VPS and ensure security, we may collect:
• IP address and device type.
• Usage data (how you navigate the Site and NFT marketplace).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to facilitate the growth of the SEAL ecosystem, specifically:
a) NFT V2 Migration: Verifying your original “rugged” NFTs to facilitate the reminting and distribution of V2 NFTs from the community multi-sig wallet.
b) Marketplace Operations: Powering the $SEAL NFT marketplace and merchandise store.
c) Community Communication: Sending updates regarding Seal Team 6 decisions and Seal CTO milestones.
d) Security: Monitoring for fraudulent activity to protect the community’s collective assets.
3. Blockchain Transparency
Please be aware that the XRP Ledger (XRPL) is a public blockchain. Any transactions, NFT burns, or swaps involving $SEAL are publicly visible and permanent. We do not control and cannot “delete” data that is recorded on the blockchain.
4. Sharing of Information
We are a community project and do not sell your data. Information is only shared with:
a.) Service providers such as but not limited to: our hosting providers and any integrated XRPL tools (e.g., Xaman/Xumm or First Ledger) required to process transactions.
b.) Governance: Aggregated, non-identifiable data may be shared with the Seal Team 6 council to make informed project decisions.
5. Data Security
We utilize multiple 3-of-6 multi-signature wallet for our community assets to ensure that no single individual has total control. While we implement safeguards on our Site and VPS, please remember that you are responsible for the security of your own private keys and recovery phrases.
WE WILL NEVER ASK FOR YOUR SEEDPHRASE!
6. Your Rights
You may request to view the email data we have on file or opt out of our newsletters. However, due to the nature of decentralized technology, we cannot alter or remove data stored on the XRPL, other blockchains, nor other financial ledgers.
7. Third-Party Links
Our Site contains various links including but not limited to: X (formerly Twitter), Telegram, and XRPL explorers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external platforms or the bots used within them.
8. Policy Updates
As the SEAL CTO evolves, we may update this policy. We will notify the community via our official X account and Site updates.
Sincerely Seal Team 6
